হাইড্রোজেন সালফাইড (H₂S) একটি বর্ণহীন, পচা ডিমের গন্ধযুক্ত গ্যাস। এটা বাতাসের থেকে ভারী, বিষাক্ত, ক্ষয়কারক, দাহ্য ও বিস্ফোরক পদার্থ। জলাশয় ও স্যাঁতসেঁতে স্থানে অক্সিজেনের অনুপস্থিতিতে জৈব পদার্থের ব্যাকটেরিয়া ভাঙ্গনে হাইড্রোজেন সালফাইড উৎপন্ন হয়। পানিতে হাইড্রোজেন সালফাইডের উপস্থিতির কারণে পানিতে দুর্গন্ধের সৃষ্টি হয়।
